Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourism area
Tam Coc - Bich Dong is considered the most attractive tourist destination in Ninh Binh, known for its famous names such as "Ha Long Bay on land" or "Nam Thien Nhi Dong". Tam Coc (three caves) consists of Ca cave, Hai cave and Ba cave. All three caves are made up of the Ngo Dong river that pierces the mountain. Indeed coming here you will feel the beauty "Son Thuy huu tinh". It can be said that this landscape is a harmonious combination of the beauty of the caves, mountains, the poetic rivers and streams with the talent of humans that made an unified and inseparable block. If tourists want to admire the green rice fields winding along the flow of Ngo Dong river, the time of Tet holiday from January to February is the most appropriate time. If you want to see the natural scenery of Tam Coc - Bich Dong in the golden color of ripe rice field, the period from the end of May to the beginning of June is the best time to enjoy the beauty of Tam Coc-Bich Dong.
Tuyet Tinh Coc
Tuyet Tinh Coc is a beautiful name given to this place by the tourism community, but the real name of this attraction is Am Tien cave, where there is Am Tien pagoda, an important historical site of Hoa Lu ancient capital relic complex, where King Dinh Tien Hoang used to raise tigers, built the execution grounds. This is the place considered the fairyland of the ancient people, now has become a green oasis separately from the outside world. Am Tien cave is famous for its ancient and pristine landscapes, is loved by tourists because of its crystal-clear beauty as a poetic picture. Most area of Am Tien cave is a flooded valley surrounded by cliffs. To enter the cave, after passing through the gate, you go down a walkway on the left hand side, next to the large lake that is released with lotus, Sung flower, Tong Truong anabas and turtle. The water here is especially green, can be seen at the bottom with many moss.
Mua cave is located at the foot of Mua mountain with the width of about 800m2, belonging to Khe Dau Ha village, Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh. It is called " The Muse of Tam Coc" or "The Great Wall of Vietnam" with a majestic landscape. From the bottom of the mountain, white stone steps leading to the summit can be clearly seen, on two sides of the stairs are ornate lines of stone with dragon or phoenix figures engraved with their symbols in the art of Tran Dynasty, very sharp and beautiful. To get to the top of Mua cave, you have to climb 486 stone stairs. From the top of the mountain, you can admire the whole beauty of Tam Coc area with vast and green rice fields. Mua Cave is also built into an eco-tourism destination combining mountain climbing sports.
In addition to the landscapes, before coming back home, you should visit a restaurant to enjoy the specialties of Ninh Binh such as rice crust, goat meat, fish salad, eel vermicelli ... to complete the trip.
